1949-1959annual literacy campaign in Inner Mongolia, is a long duration, a wide range of large-scale, large number of participants, the mass of massive cultural movement. It is in the context of national literacy campaign unfolded, basically maintained consistent with the national literacy campaign speeds. In this paper, a large number of file data archives Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia for1949-1959years literacy campaign conducted a preliminary study of the region. The thesis is divided into four parts, the first discusses the1949-1959historical background in the Inner Mongolia region to carry out literacy campaign:the need for political and economic development of Inner Mongolia needs, culture and education of the people in Inner Mongolia subjective building needs urgent learning culture. Followed by an overview of the process of Inner Mongolia literacy campaign in1949-1959, a total has gone through three stages: initial literacy campaign launched phase (1949-1952), to develop literacy stage (1953-1957), literacy campaigns reach climax phase (1958-1959). Again on literacy and herdsmen, workers and cadres of these three groups were conducted Intro. Finally, analyzes and summarizes the achievements of the Inner Mongolia region of literacy, experience and inadequate. Overall our literacy campaign Inner Mongolia region should make a fair evaluation, in recognition of its positive aspects, while more importantly conscientiously sum up experiences, lessons learned, do learn from history, so as to provide reference for future education.
