Considering the different ages and different teaching content, we make somesuggestions respectively for different levels of education. The first chapter introduces the research background and the research conditionat home and abroad. It shows the significance of the research, pointing out that theapplication of the multimedia teaching technology is very important. The secondchapter mainly talks the opportunities and challenges faced by the application ofmultimedia technology in primary school mathematics teaching, mainly consideringthe age characteristics and the cognitive level of students. The third and the forthchapter respectively talk the conditions in the junior and the high school, mainlyconsidering their age, the physical and psychological characteristics and theintellectual development. The fifth chapter looks to the prospect in the application ofthe multimedia teaching technology in the future, especially on the application ofMOOC in the mathematics education. Since MOOC has not been used in the basiceducation, we provide some advice, just for reference. The last chapter summarizesthe advantages and disadvantages of this paper. We know that there are still manyproblems that are not solved perfectly. Comments and suggestions are welcome. As we discussed in the paper, although the multimedia teaching technology hasmany advantages, it is not a panacea. At this stage, it still could not take the place oftraditional teaching method. But if we use the multimedia teaching technologyproperly and bring its superiority into full play, it could cover the shortage oftraditional math education to some extent and promote the modernization ofeducation.
