The Influence Of Contemporary Hedonism On The Formation Of Teenagers’ Consumption Ethics Research

With the improvement of modern society’s material living standard, hedonism has been widely spread in the eastern and western countries. Under the premise of putting the realization of personal desire first, hedonism continuously impact on people’s ideology from different aspects. Contemporary Hedonism is based on mass cultural movement, it has close relationship with the market economy and technical progress. Contemporary Hedonism also has its special characteristics of popularization, fashion-orientation and technicalization. Under the stimulation and temptation of a variety of media, the hedonists praise sensibility, emphasize luxury psychological of egoistic and carpe diem, which seems like to break the social ethics foundation. At present, hedonism has already become some people’s ways of living, and the public expectations and fantasy at the same time, it presents some kind of trend of social progress. The impulse of carpe diem made people lose their simple moral consciousness subconsciously. With the continuous deepening of hedonism’s impact on our lives, we are so broadly misled by hedonism in the aspect of consumption and lifestyle that we have to make analysis and evaluation, not only to reflect gains and losses of modernity, but also to rethink and grasp the inner relationship of modernity and hedonism.As we step into the21st century, a current of pleasure-seeking spread all over the campus, which corrodes teenagers’outlook of world, life and value. Hedonism consumption idea, such as conspicuous consumption, premature consumption, fashion consumption etc. are all contrary to teenagers to form a healthy consumption ethics, they lead to teenagers’indifference of ideal and belief, their ethic and moral quality appeared declined. In today’s complex social situation, teenagers are easily influenced by hedonism, and leave the Chinese traditional virtues and good characters behind them. Therefore, it is essential to cultivate teenagers consumption ethics which are adapt to the conservation-oriented society, and criticize hedonism in a scientific and rational way which can meets human nature, every ideological and political worker should attach high importance and pay attention to this issue. For this purpose, this article inspects the connotation, essence and historical evolution of contemporary hedonism, explores the causes for breeding hedonism and its distinctive features from other ideological trends, analyzes current situation of teenagers’consumption ethics, describes the negative influence of contemporary hedonism on the formation of teenagers’consumption ethics, then puts forward some suggestions to help teenagers out of contemporary hedonism errors and dedicates basic measures of ideology guiding from the individual, family, school and society levels.Hedonism is the product of social production has certain development but still exists insufficient. With the highly development of Chinese material civilization, spiritual civilization and political civilization, hedonism lifestyle will be replaced by more civilized and healthy lifestyle. Everybody can run after a truly kind of happiness life in the "community of freedom", which is the orientation of society development, and this is also the research’s topic meaning and practical significance.
