Now, with society rapidly developing, the ability of children also showed the trend of rapid development.3-6years-old children in kindergarten are mainly trained of how to live and how to do. The purpose of the kindergarten manual curriculum is to cultivate children’s hands-on skills and aesthetic taste, but it turns out that many teachers focus more on the results of children’s work, and ignore children’s ideas in creation and the solution ability during the operation, which is easy to overlook planning training program for young children. At a critical period of early childhood, children fail to receive timely and effective guidance to train the planning ability will increase the difficulty of learning ability cultivation at their primary school time or at higher grades. Purposefully training preschool children to plan things can help children better adapt to living alone and study to learn. Therefore, this study is trying to focus on the issue of preschool children’s planning ability.In this paper, literature and observation are used as basic methods to do the research. And a Guilin’s model kindergarten is chosen as a sample. The author describes the children’s specific behavior by observing what children do during the four steps of handwork activity and analyzes the relationship among all these behaviors. Then base on the definition of planning, the author would judge whether kindergarten children at each stage have appropriate planning ability. Besides, the various factors which affect children’s planning ability cultivation will be deeply explored from three aspects---children, teachers and the structuralization of teaching procedures. At the end, some suggestions to solve these problems will be offered.This paper includes the following parts:Part Ⅰ:introduction. This part mainly outlines the reasons of selecting topic, theoretical basis, related concepts, review relevant literature, and description of the purpose, content, methods and research process.Part Ⅱ:Analysis of the research process, mainly the description of the study design and arrangements.Part Ⅲ:The results analysis mainly observed children’s specific behavior in the various steps in the four stages of the handwork activities. Using planning’s definition to analyze each behavior’s relation to evaluate the degree of coincidence of senior kindergarten children’s planning. Then judge whether senior kindergarten children have planning by giving a mark.Part IV:Impact factor analysis. In this part, based on interviews and observing records, analyzing various factors that influence children’s planning produce from senior kindergarten children, teachers and structuralization of teaching procedures. Then the author offers some suggestions to solve these problems.Part V:Conclusions. This part mainly shows author’s reflections of paper design, process and conclusions.
