Extracurricular reading is not only the important Chinese course,but also the important way for students to practice language.The compulsory education Chinese course standard put forward the specific requirements to the students’ extracurricular reading:"Learn to use a variety of reading methods,has a preliminary understanding and appreciation literary works,by the edification of the noble sentiment and fun,development of personality,enrich their spiritual world."[1] So, strengthen the cultivation of students’ reading ability,make the students master the effective reading methods,form a good habit of reading is both the need of Chinese teaching,also the important means to edify sentiment,develop intelligence,promote the development of personality. as the extension of In-class reading,Extracurricular reading has the same effect during cultivating students form good intelligence structure and improving the comprehensive quality of Chinese language and literature.But,because the missing of class requirements, the strong randomness and the impact of Age, academic performance, family environment, social,cultural atmosphere and the difference between town and country in extracurricular reading,,so it often has a different reading effect.The elementary school higher grades stage is the best period for students in extra-curricular reading,to strengthen the cultivation of reading ability has an effect on the growth of knowledge, wisdom,and the edifying of sentiment.Since the new curriculum reform,Primary school students have made great progress in extracurricular reading Compared to the past.but,in the survey of Primary school during Baiyun district,the author found it also has some problems.Combined with the new curriculum reform demands,this paper is trying to has a preliminary discussion to these problems.The full text was divided into five parts,the first part expounds the background of the research,the first part elaborated the research background,extracurricular reading research status at home and abroad,the theoretical foundation of the research and the research significance;The second part summarizes the connotation and the value of the extracurricular reading;The third part take the six primary school Senior student in Baiyun district as the research object.From the extracurricular reading time, reading, extracurricular reading content, extracurricular reading method, the extracurricular reading environment, the extracurricular reading psychology five aspects of the extracurricular reading for questionnaire and interview,to find out the problems in their extracurricular reading,Specific performance in:the lack of extracurricular reading time,the insufficient of reading,the blindness of reading content choice,the comic books proportion is too large,the lack of extracurricular reading method,the overall environment is poorer,the innate desire to learn is low.On the basis of the research,the author gives a detailed analysis of the above problems, the main reason are:(1)The heavy schoolwork burden and the impact of the film and the television culture restrict the extra-curricular reading time of students;(2) The limitations of cognitive development of primary school students have affected on the choosing of the extracurricular reading content (3)The missing of effective guidance teachers led to the lack of methods of extracurricular reading;(4) The lack of cultural capital caused the poor reading environment;(5) The unclear reading motives caused the low inner desire;on the basis of analyzing the feasibility and necessity of the guidance,The fourth part Combined with the objective principle, adaptive principle, the principle of autonomy,Aiming at the problems in the Primary school higher grades students in extracurricular reading put forward six specific guidance strategy:(1)Change students’ extracurricular reading motivation, Stimulate their interest in reading;(2) Set different reading target lamination instruction base on the difference of students’ reading lever;(3)Establishing extracurricular reading time guarantee mechanism;(4) Guide the student to choose the extracurricular reading books;(5) Teach students extracurricular reading methods;(6) Optimize the environment of extracurricular reading.The fifth part is the conclusion of the article,the author make the summary to the paper,and also reflect the insufficient In the process of writing,hope experts give valuable opinions,make the research more mature.
