With the continuous development of China’s economic and social progress, the demand for highly educated, high-level personnel is growing, intense international competition requires that we must cultivate the spirit of innovation and innovative high-quality personnel. Graduate education as the training model of high-level personnel, has cultured and transported a large number of highly qualified personnel. According to "Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan (2010-2020)", In2015and2020, the number of graduate students will reach1.7million and2million. China has become a veritable graduate educational country with large number of students, but as the number of expansion, the quality of education students did not keep up with the pace of the expansion of the number. With the continuous expansion of university enrollment of graduate students, some irrational phenomena are becoming increasingly revealed:training of varying quality, training mode single, a serious shortage of funding graduate education and research funding, enrollment and eliminated mechanisms are inadequate, postgraduate scholarship selection criteria is not reasonable, student learning initiative and enthusiasm is not enough, The quantity and quality of non-compliance supervisor etc.How to create a set of incentives to mobilize the enthusiasm of scientific research and graduate study, and improve quality of graduate education, has attracted the attention of management of graduate students. This paper is the use of incentive theory related to N University, the analysis of today’s graduate education and training in some of the incentives and the implementation problems and tried to apply these theories seek to improve the quality of graduate education-related incentives of the road. literature research, questionnaire, comparative analysis, theoretical analysis and mathematical statistics are used in this paper, drawing on the basis of domestic and foreign theories, The psychological characteristics of students were analyzed. Namely:①self-awareness has become more mature and perfect;②active thinking;③demand complex. Also analyzed the current situation of college graduate incentives of China (several issues incentives basic characteristics, generally in the form of incentives, incentives should pay attention to some question). Postgraduate training and learn the advanced experience of the U.S. and Japan in the form of incentive mechanisms, and finally to N University, conducted a detailed survey research and analysis, drawn from the survey analysis, the demand for postgraduate stage complex, both low-level physiological needs, security needs, but also emotional needs, respecting the pursuit of self-actualization needs, such as high levels of demand. The study found that for the problem, put forward some suggestions postgraduate training on incentives. Namely:①Graduate Fellowship perfect system;②graduate curriculum system reform;③improve graduate selection incentives;④full play the role of mentor and research teams;⑤improve the academic atmosphere and improve graduate innovation system.
