Preschool education is an important part of basic education, its quality affects the quality of the whole education system level. For a long time, people think kindergarten teachers are always women and this kind of occupation gender segregation is not good on preschool education. Today there are some men joined the field, but the overall situation of preschool education is little men and more women. After the research achievements of predecessors, based on the background of the social transformation, I want to analyse this phenomenon with the social gender theory in this paper.In this paper, I mainly want to analyse three problems through the method of interview, the concrete expression of occupation gender segregation in current preschool education、what caused this kind of occupation gender segregation、whether male kindergarten teachers are needed in reality, then comes to the conclusion. So there are seven main sections in my paper. The first three parts are the introductions, including literature review, the definition of the concepts, introducing the problem and the research methods; The fourth part is the analysis of the concrete expression of occupation gender segregation in current preschool education; The fifth part is the analysis of what caused this kind of occupation gender segregation; The sixth part is the analysis of the demand of male kindergarten teachers in reality; The seventh part is the conclusion of this paper.The main conclusions of this research are as follows:Firstly, the occupation gender segregation in current preschool education is serious. Secondly, the current occupation gender segregation is different from traditional occupation gender segregation. Thirdly, people need male kindergarten teachers in the present situation. Fourthly, the current occupation gender segregation in preschool education reflects the conflict and entanglement between traditional culture and era background requirements in the period of social transformation.
