Higher Teaching is integrated activities in training highly qualified specialists,Pros and cons of teaching work is the standards of Colleges teaching quality andquality of personnel training. Training objectives of Colleges is achieve by a seriescourse teaching work, It is fundamental role of the talent cultivation process, is thecore and basic unit of The talent training scheme and teaching plan, is an importantbasis of higher school teaching aims and objectives, related to the quality of personneltraining and the school level.Physical education major is to train new teachers based undergraduate educationHigher teachers, professional foothold in the physical education teachers, set on itscourse to highlight the educational theory centered theoretical knowledge and tovarious sports-centric sports skills. Major Athletics is to teach the theory of knowledge,running, jumping, throwing and other individual sports and athletics teachingtechnology, training theory and practice, athletics and athletics research methods.In this paper, use literature, questionnaires, field trips, mathematical statisticalmethod,SWOT analysis to investigate athletics major internal factors of SoochowUniversity sports college, analyze the closely related with curriculum’s internal andexternal environment, find out the advantages and disadvantages of internal factorsconditions such as teachers, teaching conditions, teaching methods, teachingeffectiveness, external factors opportunities and threats factors, portfolio analysismatrix theory in the SWOT analysis, concluded that:1、Advantage factors is athletics courses high traditional position; strong facultyteam; rich academic research achievements and high quality and much numbers ofteaching achievements; rich range in curriculum supplementary types; high gradeathletics referee Level.2、Disadvantage factors: Athletics teaching majors teaching venues can not meet the teaching needs of the site; teaching equipment obsolescence; low quality ofsupplementary data; few majors hours; low assessment standards; Students ’PracticalAbility training is not enough; not enough guidance of homework after teachers’lesson.3、Opportunities factors: the demand for national quality resource sharing lessonsopen courses; the demand to build textbook brand materials of Jiangsu Province;Suchoow University Young Teachers teaching competition; The excellent multimediacourseware selection activities of Jiangsu Province; Background of SuchoowUniversity to build Southern Jiangsu regional sports brand school; all kinds of trackand field competition and examination in Suzhou4、 threats factors: the students’ skill level is not high, poor physical fitness ofstudents, poor class discipline, Students’ Understanding degree of Athletics is not high.And make recommendations on:1、 Recording the video of athletics lesson to the stringent requirements of majorschool teachers; Amendments or special textbooks compiled Athletics majors;encourage teachers to participate in teaching contest; participate in selected activitiescourseware and other measures to improve the track and field teaching majors.With theteam characteristics and advantages, do their own characteristics of track and fieldcourses.2、Take the second class to ask students to practice techniques, and studentmanage class and teacher can be guided. Improve the technical assessment of theproportion of the end of the assessment and evaluation criteria. Strictly implement theassessment and evaluation of the scoring criteria. Give ideological education for thepoor discipline students. Let the students choose the most suitable for their owndevelopment projects to avoid the blindness choosing of the track and field student.3、Additions teaching equipment; Product courses supplementary information;reform appraisal standards; Organize regular classes or other internal scale track meetin order to emphasize the practical ability of students.
