According to the middle school provisions of "Sports and Health Curriculum Standard", endurance running is not only the compulsory course for all the middle school students, but also the test project in "national physical exercise standard". According to the survey, relevant statistics have shown that the students’ endurance quality is presenting a sustained downward trend at present in China. The reasons are as follows:first or all, in the physical education teaching, the teaching material content for enhanced physique endurance running is relatively boring and tedious. Secondly, the heavy academic burden leaves them no time to exercise. Thirdly, the traditional teaching methods make students fear endurance running sports teaching, most students are unwilling to participate in exercise. Therefore, how to improve the teaching efficiency of endurance and quality in endurance running, arouse the enthusiasm of students learning, has become a current research focus in the class teaching reform of physical education.This article adopts empirical research method, through the investigation of Tianzhu Mountain Middle School in Shangluo, to study the status of endurance running unit in sports teaching and put forward the problems existing in the teaching at present stage. Based on the relevant issues, combined with level four and students’ physical and mental characteristics and the rule of the physical education teaching, lead "token system" into endurance running sports teaching, and select a class in endurance run teaching to carry out "token system" as a comparative class, analyze implementation effect through observation, interviews and the records. The implementation results have provided theoretical guidance and practical reference for the reform of middle school physical education in our country.Through study, we have drawn the following conclusions:1. This article will introduce token system into endurance running class teaching unit, it stimulates students to learn and exercise consciousness and initiative effectively. The teaching content is targeted, systematic and plausible.2. Practical teaching applications of endurance running include two stages, the preparation and implementation. Preparation stage includes conduct of behavior rules, determination of tokens, tokens exchange system, behavior decomposition; implementation stage includes the program of students management, rules of conduct conversion tables, records and reports, exchange and evaluation.3. By tracking observing teaching practice, it shows that students’behaviors in the experiment classes significantly better than the control class students’before class, in-class and after school, they can truly feel their progresses and regresses, then adjust themselves timely.4.The feedback of practical teaching indicates that scientific and rational tokens exchanging system changes the original monotonous and boring traditional learning mode, tokens system can delay and strengthen the rate of students’ physical behavior, so that students will have a pleasant experience, and lay the foundation for lifelong physical education.
