Understanding and mastering the successful experiences and features of Australia undergraduate’s leadership education is crucial issue for us to study the leadership education of undergraduate in China. Unfortunately there is rarely attention to this area either abroad or at home. On the basis of systematically summarizing related literatures, this dissertation analyzes and summarizes the Australia undergraduate leadership education from: implementing agency, mission and vision, program style, content of program, program format, program characteristics and assessment. We can get a complete whole scene of undergraduate leadership education in Australia, then come to the conclusion and some of advisements for our study and practice.The whole dissertation consists of four chapter:First chapter is introduction. It focus on the studying background, values, literature review and study design;Chapter two is background and present situation of Australia undergraduate leadership education. There are35universities in total of40having leadership education program, it shows out its important role in university and success of practice. This chapter is an descriptive study of undergraduate leadership education in Australia from the aspect of education and leadership theory background, elementary agency, mission and vision, type and content of the leadership education program, program format, assessment and characters with the purpose of comprehensively understanding the Australia undergraduate leadership education. On the basis of criticism, Australia undergraduate education have developed the successful theory and practices of American and raised his own format according to his country’s need;Chapter three is a case study of University of Wollongong, provides a micro-view of the whole thing. It details the content in chapter two to see how it goes when comes to signal university. It can give us a practical references in implementing undergraduate leadership education;Chapter four is about conclusion. It concludes from six parts:implement agency, mission and vision, program type and content, format and features of program and provides some advice and suggestion about our practice and possible subsequent researches.
