The Research Of The American AP Chemistry Experiment Curriculum

In order to provide high school students with the opportunity to approach and experience the beginning classes in the college apart from normal classes,the College Board operated Advanced Placement from 1955,which consists of Advanced Placement Program and Advanced Placement Examination.Advanced Placement Program is a college-level high school curriculum,namely advanced placement courses.Not only American high school,but Sino-US classes in public or private high schools in China offer AP Program in the second year,even in the first year.AP Program includes 22 types and 38 courses,including Advanced Placement Chemistry Course.AP Examination,organized in May of each year,continued for two weeks.The examination period for each subject is around two or three hours.Nowadays,several thousand universities around the world consider AP scores as entrance reference standards.In addition,students can be granted credits and exemption of the first-year university course.AP Chemistry Experiment,an important part of Advanced Placement Chemistry Course,plays a role in students' learning.Theory and practice complement each other in the course of experiment.Theory guides practice and practice advances theory.In order to improve students' scientific quality and enable them to grasp knowledge of chemistry,it is of utmost importance to reasonably arrange AP chemical experiment course.In our country,with the increasing burden of students' learning,especially in high school,the course design of chemistry experiment is weakening increasingly.In this context,this article aims to seek more particular knowledge and learn from successful cases of AP chemistry course through an elaborated analysis of AP chemistry experiment course and examination,so as to set up the chemistry curriculum that is applicable for high school students in our country based on the national conditions.
