Mobile map serviceis location-based services (LBS) applications, there is no doubt that accurate locationinformation of users is necessary. However, be faced with the difficulty of weak GPS signal,easily blocked by buildings or trees, can not positioning indoor and slowly positioningspeed,which lead to lots of criticism. Meanwhile, quite part of low-end smartphones has noGPS chip, which have to position in the way of GSM or CDMA, precision errors often arehundreds of meters, even several kilometer. On the other hand, most of mobile map serviceapplications are using online map service, if mobile equipment can not connect WiFi,mass offlow and time will be wasted for loading map service.Even can not use mobile map servicesapplication when traveling in a foreign country.For the problem of mobile positioning defects and online maps service issues.This articledesigned and developed a mobile Personal Assistant application on the Android platformthrough Eclipse, ADT, Java language and Android SDK,ksoap-Android. Android personaltravel assistant support for vector maps and offline Google Maps,enabling seamless handoverof mobile map service, solving the problem of flow and time wastingwhen using map service.A combining position method was used in Android personal travel assistant,also coordinatecorrective mechanism was used, settled the problem of positioning precision and low speed inpositioning.At the same time, Android personal travel assistants also provide user for pathquery, addresses query,weather forecasts, trail records, position tracking. |
