With the accelerating process of global economic integration, dynamic and uncertainty ofthe operating environment faced by the enterprise is increasing the diversity and complexity oforganizational tasks, relying solely on the wisdom and ability of individual managers have beeninsufficient to meet the fierce competition in the market. In recent years, most enterprises havegradually realized that building an excellent top management team and taking the team to themode of operation brainstorming, efficient collaboration is fundamental to the progress anddevelopment of enterprise. A series of studies of upper echelons have shown that the internaldynamics has a significant impact on the process of strategic decision making and enterprisesperformance.On this basis, the study focused on the group behavioral dynamics of top managementteams, from the perspective of perceived cohesion, conflict, potency and shared strategiccognition,test the correlation between group behavioral dynamics and enterprises performance.And at the same time concerned about the antecedents of TMT group behavioral dynamics: TMTknowledge structure heterogeneity and power distribution.Taking into account the availability and accuracy of data, the study uses the empiricalresearch method by the data of Tianjin’s and Nanjing’s companies of the small andmedium-sized, revealing the effect mechanism between TMT group behavioral dynamics andenterprise performance. The results showed that TMT knowledge structural heterogeneity has anegative correlation with perceived cohesion, potency and has a positive correlation with teamconflicts; the TMT average degree of power distribution has a negative impact on team cohesion,cognitive conflict as well as shared strategic cognition,while has a positive impact on emotionalconflict; team cohesion, cognitive conflict, potency and shared strategic cognition has a positivecorrelation with enterprises performance, the emotional conflict has a negative correlation with it.Eventually, to combine theory and empirical studies, this study proposes severalcountermeasures and advises to strengthen TMT construction, promote enterprise performance.
