Innovation is soul for enterprise development. Knowledge innovation plays apredominant role in the enterprise competition during the age of rapid change ofprogress of science and technology. In the light of this situation, the competitionamong enterprises has evolved into knowledge competition by degrees. Theresearch and development teams of enterprise as the important carrier ofenterprise knowledge have played an irreplaceable role in the process ofenterprise innovation. There are distinct differences in the areas of membercomposition, professional background and knowledge structure for differentteams, which is known as knowledge heterogeneity. The study of the knowledgeheterogeneity’s effect on knowledge sharing and performance of knowledgeinnovation will be conducive to develop more scientific and reasonable teams soas to improve the performance of knowledge innovation. The paper aims to explore relationships among knowledge heterogeneity;knowledge sharing and knowledge innovation performance of team, includingknowledge sharing’s intermediary effect on the relationship between knowledgeheterogeneity and knowledge innovation performance as well as the innermechanism among them. First of all, the passage structures a conceptual modeland puts forward some relevant research hypothesis on the basis of the theoreticalanalysis. This process consists of giving definition of related concept, theoreticalanalysis of the relationship among knowledge heterogeneity, knowledge sharingand knowledge innovation performance as well as the intermediary role ofknowledge sharing. Besides, it also develops theoretical model and researchhypothesis. Secondly, it has made a design for research program. This processconsists of measurement of research variables, design of questionnaire and data collection and credibility and effectiveness examination of the collected data.Thirdly, this passage conducts an empirical study for the constructed theory bymeans of variance analysis, regression analysis, correlation analysis andintermediary effect analysis of the collected data from questionnaire. Theresearch results suggest that knowledge heterogeneity in the session ofknowledge and skills, professional experience and work experience alsoinfluences knowledge sharing and knowledge innovation performance positively. In contrast, knowledge heterogeneity in the aspect of team members’ educationalbackground influences knowledge sharing and knowledge innovationperformance negatively. Knowledge sharing plays an intermediary role betweenthem. Finally, according to the results from empirical study, this passage hasdiscussed and proposed related optimization strategies.
