Research On The Growth Evaluation Of Mariculture Enterprises Based On Factor Analysis

The development of marine economy and construction of modern industrial systemhave become important aspects to promote China’s economic development. Theconstruction of the Blue Economic Zone of Shandong Peninsula has been contained inthe national development strategy. As the most important part of the marine industry, themarine aquaculture industry receives increasing attention from all the governments. It hasbecome an inevitable major issue for coastal cities to accelerate the development ofChina’s marine aquaculture industry and promote the speed and quality of development.Based on the study on the growth of marine aquaculture enterprises, this paper aims toscreen out the indexes to reflect the growth situation of marine aquaculture enterprisesaccurately and establish a proper theoretical model to evaluate the growth of China’smarine aquaculture enterprises. This research fits the current situation of accelerating thedevelopment of the marine industry and adjusting the economic structure in China, whichhas important theoretical significance and practical value.Based on the analyses and comments of overseas and domestic research statusconcerning enterprises’ growth, this paper puts forward topics to analyze the connotationand feature of the marine aquaculture industry and enterprises’ growth and expound basictheories such as the enterprise growth theory, the factor analysis method theory andenterprise life cycle theory respectively. Then this paper analyzes the developmentsituation and existing problems of the marine aquaculture industry and define the basicfactors of the growth evaluation indexes and choose eleven financial evaluation indexes.After these, this paper establishes a growth evaluation model of the marine aquacultureenterprises and makes the hypothesis that the growth of the marine aquacultureenterprises can be reflected by five aspects such as profitability, scale expansion,operation situation, solvency and future competitiveness through principal componentanalysis and multiple regression analysis. Taking37marine aquaculture enterprises assample, this paper undergoes empirical research using the growth evaluation model andanalyzes the similarities and differences between the hypothesis and the empirical resultsand finds that high growth enterprises have features like high operation level, strong debtpaying ability, strong expansion ability and high profitability, etc. In the end, this paperputs forward suggestions to promote the overall growth of the marine aquacultureindustry in terms of expanding investment channel, playing traditional marineaquaculture advantages, and enhancing product quality.
