Performance Measurement Of Reverse Logistics Enterprise Based On The BSC And Performance Prism

A long with the development of reverse logistics, more and more researchesstudy on this, and achieve many results. These results mainly related to the networkplanning, inventory management, and information technology of reverse logistics.Seldom of them study on the performance measurement which is very important tothe long-term development of a reverse logistics enterprise. Because performancemeasurement not only can provide information about operating performance in thepast, but also can guide the development of the enterprise in the future. In view of this,we come up with a study on the performance measurement of reverse logisticsenterprise.Through learning the existing papers, we can find two kinds of conceptualframework. The first conceptual framework is simply combining reverse logisticswith performance measurement theories, such as the balance scorecard, financialevaluation and so on. Another conceptual framework is building the structure ofperformance measurement based on the characteristics of reverse logistics enterprise.Though these two frameworks are useful in some perspectives, both of them are lackof systematicness and practicability. In order to complete the research on theperformance measurement of reverse logistics, this thesis try to combine the balancescorecard with the performance prism theory,and gives a complete progress to buildthe performance measurement which first defining stakeholders, then building theframework of performance, at last designing the measurements and their weight. Insummarize, this thesis have three research results. First, this thesis put forward a wayto define stakeholders from legitimacy, Power, Urgency. Through the analyzing ofrequirements and contributions of stakeholders, a reverse logistics enterprise canrealize the beginning of performance. Then, this thesis builds a systematic frameworkof balance scorecard of reverse logistics which defining six perspectives includingfinance, progress, innovation and growth, stakeholder, environmental, and social. Atlast, this thesis describes how to use ANP to determine the weight of performancemeasurement indexes.
