Evolution Analysis Of China’s Regional Economic Difference And Technology Choice

In the studying of China’s economic development, the development of regionaleconomy is one of the key issues. But there is no enough articles explored therelationship between technology choices and Chinese regional economic developmentwhich provides a good direction of survey obviously. This paper focuses on thestudying of envolution Analysis of China’s regional economic difference andtechnology choice, The main research contents include four parts: firstly, bycomparing the advantage and disadvantage of five regional economic calculatemethods, selected the most appropriate method to calculate regional economicdifference level and analyzed its historical evolution and future changes in trends;then, on the basis of analysis of the changes in the regional capital stock trajectory,calculated and classified the value of each regional technical selection process ofchange; and by comparing the different model, set up the most appropriate panel datamodel, comprehensively analyses the relationship between technology choices andregional economic development difference. finally, gave constructive suggestions onreducing regional differences.Results:(1) after the comparison of different calculation methods, we selected"edge difference method" to measure the difference value of China’s regionaleconomic differences, China’s regional economic difference did not fit reversed "U"hypothesis, coastal provinces and some other provinces which had large populationhad more significant influence on increasing the regional difference, improving theseprovinces priority can contribute to a more rapid and more significantly reduce thedifferences between provinces in china;(2)China’s provinces and cities stayed secondor third stage in economic development, economic growth depended on capital andlabor, technology choice index value of coastal area, Hubei, Inner Mongolia andHeilongjiang were higher than other area, technology choice value of the centralprovinces were lower than the western undeveloped provinces, and I pointed thatfinding a suitable technology choice type is better for the development than justreaching the higher technology choice value;(3) according to a most suitable panelmodel, we found that the technology choice of most provinces like: China’s coastalregions, low capital intensive provinces were suitable for economic development,current technology choice type helped to improve the economic level and narrowregional differences, technology choice of mainly labor-intensive provinces(likeAnhui, Hunan, Sichuan) played a negative effects on economic development, theyshould change their current technology types to improve the economic development.This part is one of the innovations of this paper, l made conclusion by describing thedifferences as "edge difference value", technology selection as "technology choiceindex value" and their relationship as "technology choice index coefficient" and"individual fixed gap between per capita GDP tendency analysis",to make the resultsmore realistic and meaningful.
