Since the inception of the new century, along with the continuous development andperfection of market economy, the enterprises have been paying much more attention tohuman resources management. As the competition both in the industry and amongenterprises becomes more and more fierce, the enterprises have been constantly exploitingthe potential of internal employees when opening markets, making innovative products,improving services and exploiting external resources. The state-owned enterprisesconstitute the dominant force to develop China’s economic construction. Since Chinajoined WTO, the state-owned enterprises have been facing more complicated marketcircumstances and more fierce competition among enterprises. Thus, the state-ownedenterprises should strengthen internal management to meet opportunities and challenges inthe external environment. Employee incentive is an important link in the human resourcesmanagement of an enterprise and insufficient employee incentive will greatly reduce theeffectiveness of corporate management. In this paper, the author mainly analyzes theemployee incentive situation and problems of the state-owned enterprises, takes theincentive management case of A enterprise as the research object to carry out an in-depthanalysis on its employee incentive problems, applies theoretical knowledge relatedincentive and some methods such as questionnaire method to doing related researches, andputs forward targeted incentive measures, so as to provide references for the incentivemanagement of similar enterprises.This paper is mainly divided into the following parts: Chapter1sets forth thebackground and research significance of this paper, the development of incentive theoriesin China and overseas, and the research thought and methodology adopted in this paper;Chapter2regards A enterprise as the research object, introduces basic information of theenterprise, existing incentive measures adopted by the enterprise and their effectiveness,applies questionnaire method to analyzing those problems existing in the incentivemanagement of A enterprise, and points out the influences of such problems; Chapter3establishes incentive targets according to the problems existing in employee incentivemanagement and puts forward measures to improve employee performance from the perspective of personnel selection, training, performance, compensation and characteristics.The research in this paper is based on the practical situation of A enterprise. I hope that theresearch can promote the employee incentive management work of the enterprises.
