More than30years of reform and opening up, China’s achievements in economicdevelopment has attracted worldwide attention, the living standards greatly improved. Atthe same time, the income gap between urban and rural residents become moreprominent, this is contrary to our building a harmonious society and the goal of buildinga moderately prosperous society. Therefore, it’s particularly important to vigorouslydevelop the rural economy, improve the level of income of rural residents as soon aspossible to narrow the gap and realize harmonious development of urban and rural areas.Domestic and foreign scholars on the issue of the income gap between urban andrural residents have achieved fruitful results.
