Research On The Income Gap Btween Urban And Rural Residents In Qinhuangdao And Its Influence Factors

Along with the China’s booming economy, the gaps between urban and rural are becoming more and more serious, which have aroused much attention and research of scholars. As an important embodiment of them, the income gap between urban and rural is also increasingly concerned by the public. Qinhuangdao, as a tourism city in Hebei province, which depends on the gifts of nature and the policies, has vigorously developed the economy and improved the quality of residents. However, the property income gap between urban and rural residents is becoming wider and wider. So according to the related foreign and domestic theories and researches in this area, this academic paper analyzes the present situation of income gap between urban and rural residents, finds out the keys to the continuously widening gap and proposes countermeasures to decrease the income gap.Firstly, starting from the domestic and international research status of the income gap between urban and rural and the related theoretical basis, this academic paper obtains the theory and method that applied to analyze the income gap between urban and rural residents. And then gets the main frame of this academic paper studying, which combined with the present situation of Qinhuangdao and the correlation theories.Secondly, using the related methods such as the qualitative and quantitative analysis and Auto-Regressive and Moving Average Model(ARMA), the author predicts the variation tendency of income gap between urban and rural residents in the future five years and concludes that the current income gap between urban and rural residents in Qinhuangdao is larger and the future is the same, with the analysis of the development of income gap between urban and rural in Qinhuangdao in recent 30 years based on the data of Qinhuangdao and Hebei province during 1984-2013.Thirdly, the academic paper analyzes the main reasons affecting the income gap by using empirical analyze method, such as Multi factor line regression method, unit root test and the stepwise regression in multivariate statistics. Through the test and stepwise analysis, there are four main reasons: The first industrial added value of the proportion of GDP, the urban disposable income growth, rural residents’ education degree accounted for the proportion of all residents and the ratio of agricultural financial subsidies.Finally, in accordance with the situation analysis of the income gap between urban and rural in Qinhuangdao, the empirical study of influence factors and the nature conditions, the author raises several suggestions.
