Analysis On The Function Of Modern Satellite City

The population density also industrial density of big city bigger and bigger along with our country’s urbanization advancement spending up, which bring the population pressure, employment pressure, environment pollution and so on a series of problem.Through studying and researching the construct experiences of foreign cities, we can find that constructing satellite city is the effective methods to solve these problems.In recent decades,our country has obtained the remarkable achievements from the practice of constructing satellite city, but there are still a lot of problems. Many new town just imitate mechanically the developing mode of developed countries, their function are single, and they played "lie the city" role only. Not only can’t they relieve the pressure of central city effectively, still will cause more traffic pressure, which makes the big cities continual develop by the means of’stand pie". The reason why cause this is that the function of the satellite city is not perfect enough, there are still fuzzy understanding for the function of modern satellite city, so can not form effective attraction.In order to make the urbanization construction sustainable development,we should planning and build the modern satellite town industriously,and then the satellite city role can effectively play. Which needs the governmental departments can truly understand and master the function of modern satellite city,and then will achieve the effect that effectively attract center city’s population and enterprise.This article from the point of the city’s function lists five functions of the modern satellite city, through study the mature development model of foreign satellite town,combined with our country’s city present situation. The functions are the suitable living environment, full employment, perfect education system, reasonable industrial structure, rich culture. After that, the city of Langfang as an example, this paper has a empirical analysis by the means of combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. Firstly,this paper introduces the characteristics of Langfang’s location, geographical environment, transportation situation and soon. Secondly, this paper adopt the factor analysis method to analyse quantificationally. I chose many domestic typical satellite towns as sample,and then select and statistic economic indicators which can effectively explain modern satellite town five basic functions.Finally, I obtained the conclusion based on the study of the theory of the satellite city and empirical analysis:the function of Langfang fully conforms to the requirement of modern satellite city. I hope this paper can play reference role in the modern satellite town construction of our country in the future.
