Throughout the history of the world’s automobile development, oil crisis changed thedestiny of the Toyota in the1970s, resulted in unforeseen turn and development. Since thereform and opening-up, the construction and development of own brands in China’s automotiveindustry have been over10years. With the proliferation of consumer market demand indomestic and foreign cars, numerous new self-owned brands emerged and large quantities ofnew motorcycle type came into the market in succession. The markets are expanding andorders are growing continuously, meanwhile, quality requirements of consumers for productsand services have been improved constantly as well as the increasingly fierce and cruelcompetition between the various brands. Most own brand enterprises have realized that theirown internal management standards are generally low, and have been learning and promotingLP supervisor mode, transforming to lean enterprises step by step.Improvement of the job site is the basis of lean management and manufacturing industryof our country current field improvement research and also at a low level. The improvement ofthe site itself involved various people, objects, methods and conditions of the improvement andboost were trivial as well as the process. This paper aims to propose a low-cost and rapidconvergence method, transformed from traditional mass production to LP model, in order toeffectively create the link of improvement of LP enterprises.Using a combination of theory and practice, with reference to research achievement interms of the improvement in domestic and overseas automotive assembly line, on the basis ofabundant related document literature, applying the theory and method in site improvementrelated to time study, line balancing, station improvement and design, this paper put the siteimprovement of a well-known C-brand automobile assembly plant into practice and putforward a methodology based on improvement of the job site, besides, achievement of the jobsite improvement in well-known brand car assembly plant site was verified. According tocontinuously impel the job site improvement of this brand auto manufacturer, we hope that itcan play a positive reference to our other manufacturing enterprises in the process oftransforming to the LP enterprises.
