| With China’s accelerated urbanization process and the promotion of steelconstruction, giving birth to the rapid development of steel manufacturing enterprisesacross the country. It has important practical and historical significance for developmentof the national economic. Steel manufacturing enterprise is a typical ETO enterprise. Itproduces by a project-oriented manufacturing style, which has many characteristics justlike order randomness, highly customized, long manufacturing cycle, complex largebody, multi-project operating, environment uncertainties and so on. In particular, thetraditional management, especially the way of planning management, such assingle-project management, critical path method, PERT, which can’t meet the practicalneeds of enterprise. All this lead to resource conflicts, poor coordination andimplementation, human impact, delivery delays, etc. Therefore, this paper focuses oncritical chain multi-project program management system of steel manufacturingenterprises, production planning and progress control method, which based on theunderstanding of the characteristics and needs of the steel manufacturing enterprises.The research has a certain theoretical and practical significance.First of all, based on the briefly describe critical chain project management, thispaper describes steel manufacturing enterprise production and product characteristics,resource characteristics, and multi-project management features. Paper also gives ananalysis of the present situation and problems of multi-project management, points outthe advantages of critical chain management to solve these problems and need toimplement critical chain multi-project management.Secondly, critical chain multi-project plan management system is established basedon combination of push and pull program and combination of critical chain idea andfinal plan system. The organizational structure and processes are designed to meet andcooperate with the critical chain project plan management system.Thirdly, steel manufacturing enterprise production planning and controlmanagement is emphasised through production planning and schedule control. Paperputs forward the production based on the critical chain planning and optimizationprocess, including project assessment, product process setting up, critical chainscheduling, allocation of resources and coordination, key materials and door settingsand building the critical chain schedule buffer control mechanism in terms of production schedule control.Finally, the results are applied to a steel manufacturing enterprise to certificate themethod. A detailed analysis of the problems of multi-project management of thecompany is gave for guiding to improve the company’s organizational structure, and anexample is gave to illustrate the application of critical chain multi-project productionand the control method. |
