Research Of Government Role In Coal Resources Cities’ Transformation

As an important strategic resource, Coal have made the indelible great contribution in the process of country’s industrialization. Following decades or even centuries of continuous development, many of the Coal Resources City nearly exhausted. Economic and social difficulties in the structural contradictions have become increasingly prominent, such as economic growth slowing, laid-off workers increasing, and ecological environment further deteriorated. Most current Coal Resources City’s development is facing with unprecedented challenges, the urgent need for economic restructuring. By the domestic resource-based cities’ development case study, if not establish alternative industries while large-scale development of resources, the city will gradually decline and even extinction with the depletion of resources. Therefore, how to make the city out of the woods as soon as possible, and transition to achieve a comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development. Governments at all levels smoothly, especially Coal Resources City’s government need an urgent study so as to solve major problems of public administration. This paper is based on the domestic theoretical research results from the resource-based cities facing problems and difficulties, analysis the causes of institutional mechanisms to start, learn from developed countries to promote a major transformation of resources cities and national initiatives part of the experience of successful transformation, and made of government proposals of which coal resources cities play the role.
