A Protection Planning Of Prime Farmland Based On Spatial Clustering

Today,in China.with increasingly prominent problems of food security.cultivated land protection has become more and more important.Prime farmland protection is the core of the cultivated land protection.Devising prime farmland protection planning scientifically and reasonably is not only an important method of cultivated land protection,but also an essential measure to maintain social stability,economic development and national food safety.Based on Arcgis software,using spatial clustering method,taking Hefeng County of Hubei province as the research object,this paper explores the theory about how to deal with the protection planning of prime farmland scientifically and reasonably.The author analyzes the characteristics of land use and the protection situation of prime farmland of Hefeng County on the basis of data collection and reconnaissance,and then designs evaluation system on how to plan the prime farmland by Delphi method.Meanwhile,in order to get rid of the affluence of subjective factors,the author adopts K-means spatial clustering method,hoping to select high-quality centralized cultivated land into prime farmland scientifically,and advances the combination of coordinate and attribute to calculate space distance and uses MATLAB7.0software to programme.The paper uses the landscape fragmentation index to improve K-means spatial clustering method.Compared with the traditional methods,this method can make the prime farmland more centralized and the landscape fragmentation index smaller.so this method is much better.This paper establishes a method system of prime farmland protection planning,which takes the spatial clustering method as a core and combines with the landscape fragmentation index.The example of Hefeng county proves that the method is feasible.The spatial clustering method is a new method for prime farmland protection planning.It can not only guide the prime farmland protection planning of county level and township level,but also can provide new ideas and methods for determining the new prime farmland readiness district.
