It is universally acknowledged that the Spare Parts Management is one of the most crucial links in the process of facility management. In fact, the inventory management of spare parts is the core of Spare Parts Management. The spare parts are the materials for guaranteeing the daily equipment maintenance and emergency management. In the meanwhile, they are also a key factor to ensure the facilities to be in a good operation condition. With continuous advancement of science and technology, the requirement of reliability regard to the facilities is constantly enhanced by the enterprises. However, the development of science and technology results in the fine production and complication of facilities as well, which is bound to cause an increase of quantity and category of needed spare parts, and then augments to the purchase expense of equipments and inventory cost. Besides, the inventory of spare parts occupies a large amount of circulating funds within the enterprises, which brings a negative effect in terms of creating profits for such enterprises. Therefore, as for those manufacturing enterprises, in the future they must focus more on the following task:how to guarantee the demand of daily maintenance of spare parts, whilst restrain the incidence of overstocked capitals in the case of normal operation. This task is with the theoretical significance and realistic value. To begin with, based on the significance of the facilities, this dissertation improved the traditional ABC classification method to some extent. More specifically, it applied the two-stage method to divide spare parts into two main different categories:general parts and key parts. In addition, on the basis of parts classification, this dissertation also launched to the further research in respect of inventory structure of multispecies general parts. It meant that the author utilized the system management method to implement control on those spare parts and establish an optimization model of inventory structure on multispecies general parts. Afterwards, the author employed the Lagrange multiplier algorithm to calculate and acquired the consequence. Eventually, this dissertation integrated the traditional control strategy of parts inventory with the PM to analyze the issue of optimizing the inventory of key parts. It also launched to the quantitative analysis for the expense of update, order, shortage and reserve of the key parts. According to the features of key parts, the final consequence was obtained through applying the iteration algorithm.
