Research Of The Medical Tourism Development Potential Index And Its Application-based On ANP

Medical tourism has been developed in more than70countries and regions around theworld. As an important Tourist generating region and destination in the future internationalmedical tourism market, China plays a very important role in this field. Because the regionaldevelopment in China is unbalance, how to develop medical tourism in this vast land shouldbe paid attention to.This paper adopts the combination of theoretical research and empirical research method.Based on the related literature at home and abroad, we define the related concepts such asmedical tourism and development potential, and analyze the influence factors of medicaltourism, so as to put forward the index system of medical tourism development potential. Andthen through the modification of Delphi method, we improve and refine the index system.And we explain every measurement index, finally established a set of scientific and feasibleindex system, which supposed to be applicable to the various regions in our country.Next we use ANP method to determine the weight of every index, and establish medicaltourism development potential evaluation model. Then by collecting data from the national31provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, weapply the evaluation model to carry on the empirical research, and obtain the results in theend.We discuss and analyze of calculation results, achieve the following conclusions: among31regions Guangdong province has the topmost sore, and the sore of Ningxia autonomousregion is lowest. According to the score,31regions are divided into three levels, the threeprovinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong are high development potential area for medicaltourism, Zhejiang, Beijing, Henan and other15regions are moderate development potentialarea for medical tourism, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Guangxi and other13regions are low developmentpotential area for medical tourism. Finally put forward the suggestion that government shouldplay a leading role in medical tourism. Investment and hospitals to JCI certification should beencouraged. And it is also should strengthen infrastructure construction; vigorously developthe education, science and technology.
