With the depth integration of global economy, the development environment that enterprises faced was changing at the same time, which made the traditional performance appraisal methods couldn’t meet the needs of enterprise development and response to the environment changing. In order to improve the scientificalness of enterprise management, performance appraisal methods were constantly changing. As an important task of performance management, the establishment and implementation of performance appraisal system was a complex and systemative project, possessed lots of characteristic such as stronger streamlining, more quantitative and qualitative indicators etc. As one of the new performance appraisal tools, the Balanced Scorecard combined with the financial indicators and non-financial indicators, could help enterprises to establish a more scientific performance appraisal indicator system.LM Balanced Scorecard-based performance appraisal system to guide the establishment and implementation of the performance appraisal system of has certain reference value, but also has some. According to the current situation and characteristic of LM company, this thesis used Balanced Scorecard theory and method, analysed and introduced the whole process of establishing and implementing the performance appraisal system of LM company. On the basis of learning the existing balanced scorecard performance theory, combined with the related problems which LM company met, this thesis reconstructed the Balanced Scorecard Performance Appraisal System. To the design of performance appraisal indicator system, it introduced the basic situation of LM, and explained the problems which existed in the LM company’s current performance appraisal system. It also introduced the process and preparatory work to build the Balanced Scorecard Performance Appraisal System after analysing the necessity and feasibility to use this system in LM company.On the base of LM strategy, it developed the strategy map, scorecard, and build a company-level Balanced Scorecard. What’s more, it established the key performance indicators of every functional departments, the production unit, then uesed the analytic hierarchy process to confirm the weight of indicators. Finally, it introduced the implementation process, appraisal, feedback and impact of Balanced Scorecard Performance Appraisal System in LM company.The research based on the Balanced Scorecard in the performance appraisal system of LM company possessed higher reference value to guide the large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises to establish and evaluate the performance appraisal system, also possessed the higher theoretical significance.
