In recent years, the deepening of economic globalization has caused thedevelopment of information technology. Enterprises are facing more opportunities andchallenges. Many of them have realized that the external business environment ischanging, the value created by enterprises not only come from their own competitiveadvantage, social connections belonging to the enterprise also have promoting effect onthe operation and development of the enterprise. At the same time, informationtechnology develops rapidly, it is critical for enterprises to acquire, assimilate, transform,and exploit knowledge in order to innovate and gain a competitive advantage. In ourcountry, SME(small and medium-sized enterprises) are in a disadvantageous position inthe competition due to lack of policy support, resources, talents, etc. So in the fiercemarket competition the key for SME to success is to enhance the ability of seizing marketopportunities and transforming them into use.The paper mainly focuses on the influence of the firm social capital on absorptivecapacity. According to existing literatures, corporate social capital is divided into twoparts-internal social capital and external social capital. absorptive capacity is alsodivided into two parts-potential absorptive capacity and realized absorptive capacity.And then analyzes the relationships between firm social capital’s two parts andabsorptive capacity’s two parts, then proposes the concept models. Based on thequestionnaire, the research verifies the test hypotheses using the SPSS, concluded asbellow:(1) There is a significant positive relationship between external social capital withpotential absorptive capacity as well as realized absorptive capacity(2) There is a significant positive relationship between internal social capital withpotential absorptive capacity as well as realized absorptive capacity...
