As a new, high growth rate of industry, tourism plays a considerable role in the growth of the national economy. The travel agencies provide a series of service including ’eating, the accommodation, traffic, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment’ for tourists to satisfy the people’s travel demand. Travel agency is the core position of tourism industry and plays an important role in the chain of various parts of the tourism industry organically. But at the same time, asymmetric information is filled with the links from advertising to team traveling. It is difficult for tourists to experience the high quality service and pleasant journey. Market failure not only has severely damaged the interests of consumers, but also has restricted the normal development of the whole tour market. In recent years, our country regulates the service quality on tourist agency through formulated and promulgated administrative rules and requirements on domestic tourism service quality. Its purpose is to strengthen the management of travel agencies, protect the legitimate rights and interests of the tourists and the travel agencies, maintain the order of the tourism market, and promote the development of the tourism industry healthy. This paper adopts the combination of normative research and empirical research, using the regulation of economic theory, game theory, information asymmetry theory, to analyze the quality of travel agency service regulation economics. In-depth the problems exposed by the travel agency and improper regulation of reason, and targeted puts forward the countermeasures of regulation aspect, hope can construct the travel service quality from the each link mechanism of healthy development.The main content of this thesis includes the following section:The first part is the introduction of my thesis, introduce the research background, research significance (including the theoretical and practical significance), research ideas of service quality regulation on tourist agency illustrate the innovation and the shortage of this article. The second part is literature review, including the regulation research progress of the service quality of travel agencies at home and abroad. The third part introduces the development process and present situation of China’s travel service quality regulation. The fourth part sums up the current problems existing in the quality of travel agency service department regulation and further analyzes the travel service quality the cause of the failure. The fifth part is economic theory basis and game model, elaborated adverse selection and moral hazard due to asymmetric information on the tourist agency, and by using game model analyzed the decision of tourist agency and regulation department. The conclusion is government should be the implementation of strong regulation of travel agencies, and enlarges the costs of the travel agencies provide bad service punishment. The sixth part of the regulatory reform of China travel service quality suggestions are put forward.
