Food is the basic of the people, security is the basic of the food. In recent years, On the one hand, due to the indiscriminate use of pesticides in the process of agricultural cultivation and planting environment by chemical pollution and illegal use of additives in the process of food production and circulation; On the other hand, some small cities (towns) emerged a large number of food production and processing small workshops, small and medium-sized restaurants and farmers’markets in the process of rapid urbanization. Due to the absence of regulation, occurred food safety incident caused a serious negative impact on the image of local governments and rural stability, and so strengthening the county food safety supervision become urgent.Strengthening food safety supervision is not only inevitable requirement for creating a good image of the government, but also the objective needs for sustainable development of the county economy. This article mainly talks about the Liulin County which is one of the hundred counties nationwide and the best rich county in Shanxi Province. The article simply talks about food safety regulatory situation by food safety regulatory regime and regulatory characteristics. Currently, In thinking and understanding of food safety regulatory,the regulatory system and the efficiency of law enforcement, Liulin County food safety regulatory expose a lot of problems, such as the lack of awareness of food safety in township government, the lack safety awareness of food producers and Lack of public knowledge of food safety; low level of regulatory information, low efficiency of the three-tier regulatory network system operation and unsound risk early warning system; salient human law enforcement phenomenon and poor comprehensive law enforcement. On the basis of in-depth analysis of the above issues, the author thinks this is the main way to improve the food safety regulatory by means of strengthening publicity and education, changing the way of thinking and strengthening the organization and leadership, strengthening supervision team building and the formation of long-term mechanism for supervision funding investment, improving the local characteristics of the regulatory system.
