The promotional motivation of staff is an essential element in entrepreneurialmanagement of human resources. Promotion increases employees’ income, responsibility and upgrade their social status. Through promotion, employees areprovided with more opportunities of self-improvement. The financial back-office centerof G BANK, directly under the governance of its main bank, is responsible for theprocess of its international settlement documentaries and financing businesses in andout of the national borders. The back-office center of G BANK possesses a young, energetic and professional pool of talents and a group of experts in the field ofinternational settlement. At the same time, this center is a newly-found one, with the ageof employees averaging only27, most of whom are newly graduates from colleges. These new-grads forms an ideal target group for the research of employee promotionscheme which benefits the sustainable development and stable human resources of GBANK.This thesis adopts the method of field research, incorporating the businesspractices in banking and financing industries, to investigate and interview employees inthe back-office center of G BANK, to exhibit their salary grades and developmentschemes and to finally conclude the hidden weakness and provide workable solutions. The thesis first elaborates the relative theories of promotional inspiration, like thecontent-oriented promotion, process-oriented promotion, modification-orientedpromotion and etc. second, the thesis introduces the business scope, processing pattern, and development history, company culture and future vision of the back-office center ofG BANK. Third, through in-depth analysis, the thesis reveals the dullness andsingularity, incompleteness of this back-office center in its employee promotionalscheme. Employees of this center embody very narrow upward mobility, having fewfuture promotional opportunities and lacking chances to participate in its overseasbranches. The unfair promotional scheme can be the major cause for this weakness. Thethesis also contends that the hidden risks of “choosing the advantageous overdisadvantageous”, which would potentially decrease the customer satisfactoriness, employees’ work efficiencies and human resources stability. Last but not least, thisthesis provides workable solutions to better this problem, for instance, buildinginspiration schemes, implementing particular target-oriented methods that suit theparticular companies, and organizing various promotional tests to diversify the talents ofdifferent employees.Employee motivation is an ever-lasting disputable topic. Employees’ creativity andenergy are critical to a company’s development. Without the building of awell-processed promotional scheme, a company can never survive in the fierce marketcompetition. Therefore, the back-office center of G BANK should adopt an employeepromotional scheme that caters to its actual human resource group, andcomprehensively combine various methods to increase its efficiency in human resourcemanagement and facilitate the entrepreneurial development of the company.
