C Company’s New Product Development Project Management Problems And Improvement Measures

As an emerging “research and development type” flat panel display high-techenterprise, C company is specialized in research, development and production of thethird generation flat panel display device——OLED. Along with the development ofthis industry, C company’s technologies are far to meet the requirements ofdevelopment, and it is urgent for C company to research the new technologies of theindustry. Therefore, based on the “research and development type” orientation, Ccompany has made great efforts to research the new technologies, had completedtechnology accumulation and will start industrialized volume production at a right time.More research&development projects on new technologies and higher requirements onproject qualities jointly result in increasingly large pressure on project management.However, there are many problems of project management, since the managementlevels of project leaders are just so so. This has significantly hindered the developmentof projects and the company.After explanation of the theoretical knowledge on project management and theknowledge on new product project management in the first place, this paper willintroduce the current situations of C company’s project management, and point out theproblems of C company’s project management at present. According to the projectmanagement knowledge explained herein, the author will analyze the causes of theseproblems, and put forward the solutions for improvement of project management. Aproject, undertaken by the author as a project manager, will be taken as an example onproject optimization and improvement of project management level.
