With the rapid development of economy, tourist has stepped into steady development period in China. Along with the development of high-grade starred hotel, economical hotel that originated from the overseas has become the hot spot in China. With the quality service and the popular price, it is accepted by the numerous consumers. However, there are many problems and hidden troubles in the development of economical hotels. In the economical hotel, serious homogeneity, disorderly competition, theory deficiency and lack of talents restrict its further development.The article consists of six parts. It elaborates its concept and development and analyses the present situation of economical hotel in China. It puts forward the tactics of developing the economical hotel and makes the conclusion and expectation of it with the combination of analyses of Home Inn. it analyses and submits the development strategy of economical hotel in China.Facing the fierce competition and homogeneity problem, Chinese economical hotel must not only learn from advanced management experience of the oversea but also sufficiently study our condition and strengthen the revenue management, the control of cost, human resources management and introduction of advanced technology by making good use of the marketing and management strategy. Meanwhile try to select proper business strategy and take full advantage of cost leadership and differentiation strategy to enhance the administrative advantages of chain business, utilize the development mode of collectivization and show its development approach to suitable condition and consumption concept in China. This emerging industry has extremely wide development prospect in China.
