Corporate middle managers as the backbone of the enterprise, connected with senior managers and lower-level managers, played a connecting role. Middle managers are both decision makers and executors, their management ability, competence related to the continued operation and development of the enterprise; related to the implementation of the corporate decision-making affecting business performance.In this study, a combination of the enterprise group theory and the theory of competency, through literature review, behavioral event interviews, expert appraisal prepared Enterprise Group Competency of middle managers; way through the questionnaire competency factor for middle managers of the enterprise group extraction and analysis, competency model of middle managers draw Enterprise Group by personality traits, knowledge, skills, self-management, business management, team management constitute.The main content of this study:literature review, organize, analyze, define competency concepts and summarize the the learning competency model construction methods and processes; outlined the concept of enterprise groups, characteristics, established conditions and management system; learn Competency Model selection of building methods and evaluation index system Tianye Group, for example, and according to the specific requirements Tianye Group’s development strategy, corporate culture, and other special preparation of the competency evaluation index system, and thus the preparation of the questionnaire; Tianye Group survey and analysis of the middle managers, build competency model suitable for the special case of Tianye Group, to test the impact of demographic variables on the competency model, the application of the model; final summary of the entire study, also pointed out that the study there is the question of the future Group of corporate middle managers competency prospect.Corporate middle managers of the Group Competency differences by demographic variables of the study found that:corporate middle managers of the Group is served by men or by women are not very different; different age groups of middle managers in interpersonal, self-control," guidance and supervision "exist significant differences; middle managers have different management years of" authorized "and" strategic thinking "Competency has significant differences, work more than eight years of middle managers score significant difference, with a master’s degree in middle managers significantly higher than the other management life; different educational backgrounds of middle managers in "the learning and development ", Establishment of middle managers scored significantly higher than a high school education.
