From international experience, the flow of labor behavior and settling behavior isusually happened at the same time, however, due to the economic developmentstratagem of "industry priority", as well as to the household registration system as thecore of a series of special limitations, make China’s urbanization process is dividedinto two stages: one is the surplus rural labor to cities, the urban employment;2it isrural migrant migrant workers settle down in cities and into the city life. In this paper,the study of "new generation migrant workers to settle down\" focuses on theurbanization process of the second stage-the rural labor force in urban settlements.This paper studies the intention to settle in cities of the new generation migrantworkers of Weifang city, and the influence degree of various impact factors on thesettlement will. First of all, through the comprehensive analysis of relevant literaturereview at home and abroad data and reference related theory, put forward thetheoretical framework and research design, and summarized the factors influencingthe new generation of the will of peasant worker’s settling down in city: personalcharacteristics factor, human capital factor, economic factor, social support factors;Second, in the form of questionnaire survey, in-depth weifang construction,manufacturing, catering and other survey data collection, using SPSS17.0statisticalsoftware analysis data, using multivariate Logistic regression model to measure theinfluence degree of various impact factors on the settlement will. Specific operation,the first of each independent variable factors affect the will of settling down in cityand urban settlement to the dependent variable interaction classification analysis andcorrelation test, will not be able to through the correlation test of the independentvariable; Then using interactive classification table by correlation test all factorsaffecting the structure of binary Logistic regression equation, the Logistic regressionanalysis is introduced into the regression equation, to examine the influence degree ofvarious factors on the migration intend to; Through Logistic regression test, researchconclusion: found that gender, engaged in the occupation, level of education, migrantworkers age, income level, with urban residents, social security, city life satisfactionfor the new generation peasant worker’s settling down in city will have a significantimpact; Marital status, housing situation, the purpose of the migrant workers, toparticipate in training, ingoing ground state of the economy, no significant impact on the new generation of the will of peasant worker’s settling down in city. Among them,the level of education, migrant workers age, income level, and settled intention isrelated with urban residents association, and has carried on the reason analysis torelevant conclusions. Finally, through the conclusion of the empirical analysis,combining weifang specific situation, comprehensive analysis of existing problems inthe new generation peasant worker’s settling down in city, and on this basis putsforward some operable and feasibility of the effective measures to guide the newgeneration peasant worker’s settling down in city.
