| Yantai Economic&Technological Development Area (Yantai DevelopmentArea) is located in the Yellow Sea coast of the Shandong Peninsula, is one of the first14national development zones. In recent years, Yantai Development Area advancedmanufacturing as the foundation of the area, give full play to the two advantages ofopening to the outside world and the technological innovation, vigorously implementthe strategy of development of industrial clusters, and achieved good results. Theautomobile industry cluster registered rapid development as one of the two leadingindustries of the region, the output value of65billion yuan in2012, occupy wholearea dimensions above20%of the total industrial output value, plays a more and moreimportant role in the region’s economic and social development. But it should benoted that, the automobile industry cluster in the Yantai Development Area hasreached a certain scale, but relative to the more mature domestic and foreignautomobile industrial cluster, it’s still in its infancy, there are still some problems inthe capability of independent innovation, Specialized division and collaboration,which affect continue to enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry cluster.In this paper, the industrial cluster theory was used to apply an empirical study ofthe automobile industry cluster development in Yantai Development Area. Firstly，select the4domestic and foreign famous automobile industry cluster for comparativeanalysis, summarize the experience and laws of the development of automobileindustry cluster. Then PEST analysis method is used to analyze the effect ofenvironmental factors on automobile industry cluster development. The focus of thisarticle is the automobile industry cluster development status and future developmentof research, analysis from core enterprise development, the development of industrial clusters, problems and strategic impact of GM China, eventually put forward thestrategic positioning of the automotive industry cluster and Development Strategies:First, it is necessary to to strengthen introduction of core projects, promote thedevelopment of automotive industry cluster multi-core; The second is to strengthenthe policy support and guide, to support the development of local enterprises; Third,technology introduction and independent innovation must be strengthen to build thecore competitiveness of automotive industry cluster; Fourth, grasp the laws ofindustrial development accurately, to develop automotive related service industry;Fifth, we must strengthen the cluster cultural environment, and strive to promote thesustainable development of automobile industry cluster.The main purpose of the study to the development of the automobile industrycluster which is in Yantai Development area, is to provide reference for managementcommittee and decision-making, and hope to inspire the development of theautomobile industry cluster in other development area. |
