The steel industry is the basic industry of the nationaleconomy, and it is also one of the key industries that drive social andeconomic development. The state-owned listed steel companies as thefocus of China’s iron and steel industry significantly affect the sustainablesocio-economic development. With China’s market economic system isgetting more sophisticated and private enterprises have been rapid raised,listed state-owned steel enterprises are facing increasing externalcompetitive pressures. Especially since the outbreak of the globalfinancial crisis in2008, China’s steel industry may have some impact, thecontradictions existing in the development of the listed state-owned steelenterprises become even more prominent. How to maintain themomentum of the leading in the increasingly fierce competitiveenvironment and how to achieve good development, become severe testof this period of the current and future that senior managers of listedstate-owned steel enterprises must to face.Executive compensation is the interest of the tie that affiliatedenterprises and executives, it is also the source of power that theexecutive weather to pay for the enterprise productive endeavors or not,so to develop a reasonable executive compensation is particularlyimportant. Executive pay gradually composite remuneration stage afterthe material remuneration stage and the annual salary system stage,however, due to the listing of state-owned steel enterprises with thespecial nature of certain political and development problems, listedstate-owned steel enterprises only to develop executive pay to meet theirown development needs can achieve a good development in thecompetitive environment.Scientific and rational choosing factors affecting pay to develop a morereasonable executive compensation system is the focus of this study. Inthis paper, though anglicizing, combing and researching of the relevantliterature and theory, and combined with my actual research situation oflisted state-owned steel enterprises, choose the index system of the selectexecutive compensation related factors. On this basis by means of the econometric Software (EVIEWS6.0), using2009to2011panel data oflisted state-owned steel enterprises to regression analysis, analysisinstitute for influencing factors reasonable and its mechanism of the roleof executive compensation in listed state-owned steel enterprises, thatanalysis of the root cause of the problems and issues of executivecompensation existing in the listed state-owned steel enterprises andcountermeasures proposed to further improve the executive compensationsystem, in order to bring this building executive compensation impactfactors index system in line with the development needs of the state-listedsteel companies to provide limited reference.
