Thus the sustainable forestry development based on forest ecosystembecomes one of hot topics of common concern in the world. Sustainable development offorestry started from the overall effect. And the center of it was the function maintenance offorest ecological system in nature and society. Through the management of forest ecologicalsystem, the forest could provide both goods and sustainable community service.China is a developing country and also a country with little forest resource per capita. Shefaces the task to develop the sustainable economy and protect the ecological environment. Thusthe sustainable development is the only choice for China’s forestry. Hunan province was thepriority test area of China and Chenzhou was the priority test area of Hunan province. Forestrywas the basic industry of national economy. The sustainable development of forestry had theirreplaceable role in the sustainable development of national economy. Through studying theforestry sustainable development in Chenzhou, we could effectively protect and use the forestresources, protect the forest landscape and culture heritage, improve the ecologicalenvironment, exert the economical and ecological benefit of forest, keep the biodiversity, thusimprove the quality and quantity of forest resource in Chenzhou, promote and demonstrate thetwo-type society construction.The forest resource data of various forest plan and design, the main natural condition ofrecent years and social economy data were obtained by field investigation, interview surveyand query.
