Global energy crisis and environmental problems have become increasingly prominent; the replacement of traditional fossil energy by new energy has become the major trend of world sustainable development. Unlike conventional fossil energy sources such as coal, oil, wind energy are renewable energy, there is no depletion of the problem, and it is widely distributed, contains enormous energy. The development and utilization of new energy sources, especially wind energy development and utilization, causing the world’s major countries attach great importance to, and become important strategic choice. Europe, the United States and India are the main promoters of the global wind power industry development, global wind power industry has developed very quickly, because the wind power industry is not only able to generate significant social benefits, it also brings a variety of economic benefits. So far, faced by the shortage of conventional energy, developing renewable energy and taking the road of energy sustainable development have become a historical necessity. As the most promising and technically mature renewable energy, wind energy has immense strategic importance in terms of alleviating climatic anomaly, strengthening national energy security and promoting the development of low-carbon industry, etc. Although China’s wind power industry started late, its growth rate is really fast, the total installation as well as the newly installation of wind power ranked No.1in2011. These achievements are inseparable from the past few years our increase efforts to develop renewable energy. The12th Five-Year Plan of the development of wind power, and once again shows the determination of our unwavering accelerate the development of wind power. It can be predicted, wind power will occupy an increasingly important position in China’s power structure. But at the same time we should also clearly recognize that China’s wind power industry still faces a series of problems including high cost of development and application, slow marketization, lack of core technology, low level of R&D, unsound evaluation and authentication system, imperfect industrial development as well as untimely policy and regulation, various factors restrict the development of China’s wind power industry. This paper thoroughly analyzes the status que and supportive policy of wind power development in Denmark, Germany, American and Holland Netherland, experience and enlightenment are obtained upon the research. The thesis holds that in order to improve the development of China’s wind power industry and take the road of "green development, sustainable development, low-carbon development", we should change the traditional idea, strengthen the construction of new energy; lay emphasis on R&D, break the technology bottleneck; broaden the financing channels, enhance the financing ability of wind power industry, and so on. In the aspect of policy innovation, we should introduce the quota system of wind power, establish trading market of wind power certificate, at the same time, strengthen regional and international cooperation, and ensure the security of wind power industry.
