The domestic coatings industry developed rapidly in recent years and became the mostactive and the fastest growing region of Asian coatings market, whose market growth ratewould be the top ones in the word. The establishment of coating production base largely metthe needs of national economic development. But with the increasing of market demand, therewas a big security risk that the production device level of domestic coatings industry and thepersonnel operation level were not high, as well as the degree of automation.The safety assessment of GB resin production projects was as the study subject. The GBproduction status was overviewed, through the LEC method to evaluate the safety of resinproduction project, and reach the danger classes. Through characteristics analysis, the factorsaffected the safety of transformation project were analyzed systematically and the mainfactors led to project security were identified. Combined with theoretical knowledge of safetymanagement, the PDCA cycle safety improvement mode was established, a safetyimprovement goals and plan was developed, and the project safety improvement program wasproposed. Finally, the safety results before and after the renovation project with fire andexplosion index method were compared so as to achieve the desired effect of theimplementation of the project and increase the rate of safety while decrease the cost.As the person responsible for consulting of GB resin production projects, through theproject improvement, safety production level was improve fully, business costs werereduced and the core competitiveness of enterprises was improved, which provided somereferences to the production of same industry.
