On The Surrounding Geo-economic Strategy Of China

With the development of economic globalization and regional economic integration, economic cooperation between the countries has gradually replaced the political confrontation and military blockade. Geo-economics developed under this background. In recent years. China has accelerated the pace of reforming and opening up, and Chinese economy developed rapidly. China has become an important driving force to promote the development of the world economy nowadays. It should be noted that China is also facing irrational economic structure, the obstruction of the United States and other Western countries and other developing issues. In order to ensure the economy develop sustainably and healthily and rise peacefully, China should develop a scientific and effective geo-economic strategy, strengthen the geo-economic cooperation with neighboring countries and expand the developing space of the geo-economic.The paper is divided into five parts. The introduction section describes the background of China’s geo-economic theory research, its significance and some research methods. The first part introduces the concepts and theories of geo-economics:the second part starts at three regions:East Asia. Central Asia, South Asia, analysis their status in China’s geo-economy strategy and the present situation about the geo-economic cooperation surrounding China. The influence on the geo-economics of the US economic strategy in Asia-Pacific region is also mentioned. China’s Geo-economic Strategy is based on all the question above. The third part talked about on China’s economic situation and the challenges and threats China faced in the geo-economic cooperation with her neighboring countries with a detailed analysis. After that we concluded three points. First. China should pay more attention on the geo-economic cooperation with East Asian countries, and promote the process of economic integration in East Asia. Second. China should enhance the construction of the China-Central Asia Economic Circle by taking full advantage of the Kashgar Special economic Zone and the function of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Third, China should strengthen the geo-economic cooperation with India and other South Asian countries through the dialogue mechanism of BRICS and lay the foundation for the China-South Asia Geo-economic Circle. And the last part has summarized the geo-economic strategy of China.
