The Empirical Analysis Of Heavy Chemical Industry’s Agglomeration In A Coastal Area Of Fujian Province

Industrial agglomeration has become "space bonding point" that played an important role in promoting regional economic development and upgrading the industrial structure conversion and enhancing industrial competitiveness in the era of economic globalization. As an important part of the basic industries of the national economy, the heavy and chemical industries agglomeration has been a great attention special economic efficiency in the competitive environment of economic globalization. As the main part of the West Coast Economic Zone, the gathering of the industry of its waterfront heavy and chemical industries has played a significant role in promoting economic development in Fujian province. It has a great significance to develop the heavy and chemical industries that is next to the coastal areas in Fujian province when face the competition of economic globalization and the opportunity that the West Coast Economic Zone rose to the national strategy. We use the qualitative and quantitative research methods and Use a measure of industrial agglomeration method to measure and analyze the situation of the heavy chemical industry gathering in coastal areas of Fujian province in this paper. The study indicates that the heavy and chemical industry has been formed to gather momentum and continue to strengthen and analysis the factors that influence the heavy and chemical industry to gather and provide feasible suggestions for the further development of the heavy and chemical industry in coastal areas of Fujian province.
