Marx International Trade Theory And Its Enlightenment On Chinese Foreign Trade Strategy

International Trade Theory is an important part of Marx’s economic theory system. In recent years, manyresearches have been done on the profound connotation of the Marx’s International Trade Theory. However,different people have different opinions on how to scientifically apply the international trade theory to theeconomic development situation of China which is under the economic globalization. Since the reform andopening up, the economy of China has gradually integrated into the global economic development. Moreover,with the accelerating process of economic globalization, each country’s economy is related and interdependentmore closely. Against this background, China’s macro economy is not only regulated and controlled by its owneconomic targets and economic conditions but more and more subjected to the economic operation of othercountries and the international coordination on economic policies. As a new emerging developing country,China is enormously impacted. How to seek profits and avoid harms in the process of the integration into theworld economy, how to maintain the national legitimate rights and interests of our nation in the competitionwith the developed capitalist countries and how to grasp opportunities and face challenges to transform thecrises into opportunities in the fierce competition are the major issues of China’s academic circle that needssolving urgently.Through the study of Marx, especially the study of the relevant research achievements on Marx’sInternational Trade Theory since1990s, the author systematically analyzes the new characteristics of theinternational trade in current situation and the inspiration and guiding significance to China’s economicactivities adopting the methods of comparative study, the unity of analysis and synthesis and the unity of theoryand practice. Moreover, the author points out the questions that should be noticed in foreign trade of China andthe policy orientation of China’s marco-control, and puts forward his opinions and suggestions to the currenteconomic development of China.This thesis discusses the birth and development of Marx’s International Trade Theory, including the briefintroduction to the former Marx’s International Trade Theory on the bourgeoisie; elaborates the contents of Marx’s International Trade Theory, making a comprehensive and systematic analysis and discussion; analyzesthe status of international trade in the present capitalist national economy, and the new features of internationaltrade in socialist market economy in the era of globalization; elaborates the guiding significance of Marx’sInternational Trade Theory to China’s foreign trade strategy, analyzes the current situation and existingproblems of China’s foreign trade based on the reality at present, and gives some suggestions andcountermeasures.
