Study On The Effect Of Supply Chain Social Capital On Dynamic Capabilities Of Enetrprises

Technology changeing with each passing day, frequent changes in consumerpreferences, as well as economic globalization and so on, so many enterprises strive inthe turbulent and complex environment. While many companies disappear as theenvironment changes, some companies are able to timely adjust with the changingworld, and continuing to gain a competitive advantage. For these companies is how toobtain a sustainable competitive advantage, the resource-based view and corecapability view cannot give a good explanation. In order to explain this phenomenon,at the end of the twentieth century, Teece et. al presented the theory of dynamiccapabilities.By reading a lot of documents of dynamic capabilities, we find that social capitalof the supply chain which the company in can help enterprises timely access toinformation and knowledge, and enhance the dynamic capabilities. So, this paperin-depth study of the relationship between supply chain social capital and enterprisedynamic. First, we defined the dynamic capabilities and supply chain social capital,through a lot of literature reading. Second, theory of logical reasoning proposedtheoretical models and research framework of this study, and preliminary design ofthe questionnaire on the basis of previous studies. Then, we modify the questionnairethrough filed interview and test of small samples. Third, we distribution andcollection of a large number of questionnaires, and then statistics and analysis thesample data to verify the hypotheses proposed and research model. By the research,we present lots of suggests for the enterprise, point out the research,s shortage andlooking forward for following research.Through the above analysis of the process, the key findings in this paper asfollowed: the structure, relational and cognitive dimension of supply chain socialcapital with the absorption-integration and innovation dimension of dynamiccapabilities are positively correlated. Social capital is more abundant in the supplychain more beneficial to enhance the dynamic capability. Environment dynamism playa negative interaction in the relationship between the construction dimension ofsupply chain social capital and two dimensions of dynamic capabilities, as well as inthe relationship between the cognitive dimension and innovation. Finally, according tothe results of empirical research, based on the perspective of the social capital ofsupply chain, we take some recommendations to enhance the dynamic capabilities.
