Research On Evaluation Of The Economic Development Level Of Urban Agglomeration

Urban agglomeration is not only the new regional unit to participate in global competition and the international division of labor, but also a part not to be ignored of China’s economic construction. Recent years, the development of urban agglomeration’s economy has become a hot issue, but the researches just contain a single perspective of urban agglomeration’s space layout, such as urban planning and regional planning, lack of a comprehensive perspective. Imbalance has appeared in the process of economic development of urban agglomeration. In order to objectively evaluate the development of urban agglomeration’s economy and find the deep-seated reasons, it is very necessary to establish a set of reasonably designed, operable evaluation index system for the urban agglomeration’s economy.This paper defined the concept and characteristics of urban agglomeration, and described the differences between urban agglomeration and concepts of megalopolis and city belt; then analyzed the development status of China’s urban agglomeration, the gap with the world famous urban agglomeration and the difference between two urban agglomerations being in the same stage of development, combined with the development process of China’s urban agglomeration, analyzed the nine elements which influenced economic development of urban agglomeration, further build the evaluation system of the economic development level of urban agglomeration. Applied analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and evaluation method of gray correlation analysis to evaluate the development of urban agglomeration, and established the evaluation model of economic development level of urban agglomeration. Finally took Guanzhong urban agglomeration as an example to verify if the evaluation model is reasonable and feasible, and compared with the economy development level of Zhongyuan urban agglomeration, then put forward the countermeasures to enhance the economic development level of Guanzhong urban agglomeration. So it has certain reference value for the promotion of economic development of China’s urban agglomeration.
