Research And Application On The Evaluation System Of Corporate Social Responsibility-based Construction Enterprises From The Perspective Of Stakeholder

As more and more side effects appear today due to the companies’ simplepursuit of economic development, corporate social responsibility is becoming aworldwide hot topic. Construction enterprise, as a pillar industry in nationaleconomy, play an important role in the social life, and its influence is alsogrowing to assume more responsibility to the construction enterprise in modernsociety. CSR(corporate social responsibility) has rised and gone through a longcourse of development since1920. It was almost recent decades that appared thecombination of business and construction enterprise, and it explored and calledon its commitment to social responsibility theoretically in the large. It is rare toanalyze the situation of their social responsibility by constructing an evaluationsystem of corporate social responsibility empirically. In this paper, with theperspective of stakeholders, we build the construction enterprise evaluationsystem of corporate social responsibility through their needs and respond toconstruction enterprises attach importance to social responsibility.In this thesis, a stakeholder framework is firstly proposed to set up the CSRindex system based on theoretical analysis. Through the sorting of thecharacteristics of the construction industry, current indicators and expert opinionsurvey, an index system is developed to evaluate the corporate socialperformance of the construction enterprise. And the final evaluation model to beapplied in Chinese construction enterprises is completed by AHP method whichhelps to allocate the relevant weight for indicators in the first level and secondlevel.The first level indicators in this system include shareholders, creditors,suppliers, customers, employees, the natural environment, government andcommunity.In this model, shareholders as the first level indicator includes threesecondary indicators such as corporate governance, economic and informationdisclosure. The secondary indicator of creditors is just solvency. The secondaryindicator of suppliers include supplier selection and relationship with suppliers.The secondary indicator of consumers include architectural engineering productsand customer service. The secondary indicator of employees include protectionof employees, employee development, institution building. Indicator of thenatural environment is consisted of two aspects like environmental protectionand resource conservation. Indicator of government is consisted of taxcontributions and jobs supply. The secondary indicator of community is justsocial contribution.This thesis also gives weight to indicators of first and second level by AHP method. At last, Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. is listed to be the case,to verify the validity of the evaluation system.
