The building of ASEAN Free Trade Area is a significant strategy for china expandingopening to outside world, blending into the International economy. It promotes economicexchanging and trading between China and other ASEAN country, improves botheconomic levels and brings Guangxi which locates in the trade frontier lots ofopportunities and challenges. With the significant growth of bilateral trade activities,ASEAN countries have high demands for the Chinese auto industry products. Autoindustry products have turned into competition focus of domestic provinces. Guangxi autoindustry can gain what achievement in this continuous competition, will depends on thecomparison with other competitors. Because majority of domestic provinces support autoindustry, especially the auto industry and motorcycle industry as their pillar industries, sotheir products presents identity. Although auto industry in Guangxi already has a certainscale, the products technical content and the profit level are low. Therefore if theGuangxi’s automobile industry wants getting a space in the developing and changingmarket, it must cultivate the capability of sustainable developing industry competitiveness.This paper studies auto industry competitiveness evaluation from dynamic capabilityand want to create more means to evaluate the level of auto industry competitiveness onthe basis of the existing theory and research.In this study, around the auto industrycompetitiveness evaluation problems, I used the literature research method, questionnairesurvey method and empirical analysis method. First,establish evaluation index system andevaluation methods from the theory of dynamic capacity and industry competitiveness,and then makes an empirical study on the competitiveness of Guangxi automobile industry.In the process of competitiveness research, in order to fully analyze problems, often putforward many related factors or say variables. Although each factor can reflects some ofthe competitiveness information in different degrees. But too much factors will increasethe complexity of the study. This paper uses principal component analysis for comparingthe correlation between the various factors that influence auto industry manufacturingcompetitiveness and transforms multiple variable into a important variable through linearvariation in order to construct the evaluation system of competitiveness. Finally,combining with the current policy state for automobile industry gave somecountermeasures and Suggestions to promote the competitiveness for the automobileindustry based on dynamic capacity.
