Differences Of The Economic Zone In Central Yunnan Economic Growth And Convergence Condition

The problem of economic growth is always one of the hot topics of economicsresearch, Kunming, Qujing, Yuxi, Chuxiong city’s economic growth has been at theforefront of Yunnan province, especially in integrating these four cities of Yunnaneconomic zone and have been included in the national “12th five-year plan”. Underthe Yunnan provincial government’s efforts, central Yunnan economic Zone hasbecome the leader in the open southwest bridgehead strategy, but at the same time ofrapid economic growth, some problems inevitably, there is a certain gap between theinternal economic City Economic Zone, this situation will affect the efficiency ofpolicy implementation. Therefore, many scholars have discussed the coordinatedevelopment of the economic zone in Central Yunnan, on the existing research results,more to study the economic situation of Yunnan Economic Zone from the differenceangle of literature, but research from the convergence angle of literature are few, theconvergence can provide a way of thinking to achieve coordinated regionaldevelopment. Therefore, it is necessary to analysis the convergence of YunnanEconomic Zone Economic development. In this paper, by analyzing the economicdisparities and convergence condition of the42counties in central Yunnan EconomicZone, draw a key factor affecting the central Yunnan Economic Zone convergence,and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions from these factors, andprovides a reference for the construction of Economic Zone in the ongoing, it hasimportant practical significance.At first, this paper analyzes the present situation of economic differences incentral Yunnan Economic Zone, draws a conclusion that the region economicdifferences do exist. Then use the nonlinear fractal method to forecast the trend ofchange of differences, find that the growth difference in Yunnan Economic Zone willnarrow. Then on the basis of the neoclassical economic growth theory and neweconomic growth theory, use Yunnan Economic Zone in42counties in2001-2010panel data to construct econometric model, draw a conclusion the central Yunnan Economic Area absolute beta convergence, and measure the speed of convergence.This paper also discusses the influence factors of absolute beta convergence, findsthat the fiscal income, industrialization, human capital, industrial structure has asignificant role in promoting the convergence. Finally make a suggestion that createconditions on economic foundation, institutional change, human capital, industrialstructure, urbanization rate, etc to improve the convergence rate.
