Study On Development Of Cultural Tourism Industry Based On Industrial Convergence

Culture, as the soul of tourism, is the charms of tourism resources, intention andpurpose of tourists as well as the source power of thriving tourism industry; tourism, asa carrier of culture, is favorable to excavate culture quintessence,enrich culture andprotect culture. That consequently makes the culture and tourism rest on each other.With economic development, constantly increased living standard, and more leisuretime, people’s demand for tourism has undergone a dramatic change, from thesightseeing-type tourism to diversified tourism as purpose-driven travel,leisure travel,culture travel and so forth.That developing cultural tourism industry in traveldestinations can satisfy tourists’demand of spiritual culture to the full while effectivelypromoting economy developing level of travel destinations, which is of greatsignificance to the development of tourism and culture.Therefore, it has enormousnecessity and values to study the development of the cultural tourism industry.As one of the pillar industry in Xiangxi, tourism industry has greatly boostedeconomic growth. The tourism resources of sincere history and culture rich in Xiangxi,regarded as the asset to develop the tourism of Xiangxi, only by fully exploiting andutilizing can it become a distinctive tourism product for further promoting economicdevelopment of Xiangxi. In recent years,although the cultural tourism industry ofXiangxi indicates a quite good tendency of development, several problems are stillexisted in cultural tourism industry of Xiangxi from an overall perspective. Hence thediscussion on how to make cultural tourism industry develop both quickly and wellbecomes the focus for promoting economic development of Xiangxi.Through the research on development of the cultural tourism industry underindustrial convergence, the main achievements obtained in the dissertation aredescribed as following six parts. Chapter I is an introduction to describe thread ofthought of the paper by research framework, starting from research background,research significance to research method. Chapter Ⅱis to expatiate literature review at home and abroad and theoretical basis. Firstly it elaborates the discussions aboutdomestic and foreign cultural tourism industry, then sums up basic conceptsrespectively from three aspects: culture industry, tourism industry and cultural tourismindustry. Finally it summarizes the correlational research theories, laying thetheoretical foundation for the following chapters. Chapter III is analysis and evaluationof development on convergence between culture industry and tourism industry. Firstlyit analyzes intrinsic power and external thrust on integrative development of cultureindustry and tourism industry. Then based on which the evaluation model is built, itprovides for the convergence development of culture industry and tourism industry inXiangxi. Chapter IV is the condition analysis, it preliminarily analyzes the tourismdevelopment of Xiangxi in the two aspects of necessity and feasibility of theconvergence development of culture industry and tourism industry in Xiangxi. ChapterV is empirical analysis of cultural tourism industry in Xiangxi.It mainly presents thedevelopment status of cultural tourism industry in Xiangxi. Then by analyzing thecurrent situation based on coupling model, results obtained will provide a series ofproblems in the development of. cultural tourism industry. Finally it puts forward somecountermeasures according to the results of research.Chapter VI is the conclusion.Itcarries on a comprehensive review to the above research,giving a summary of thewhole paper which predicates the innovation and contribution and indicates theinsufficiencies needed to explore in depth as well.
